PHOTOGRAPHY & WRITING
Mid-air, sophomore Ryan Peluso takes bounces a ball off his knee.
I took this photo at a home boys soccer game. I am extremely proud of it because it is a clear action shot. One of my biggest challenges was capturing an action shot without any blur so this is a photo that I am very proud of.
During the autotech class, senior Garrett Mastrovito works on the trunk of a car.
This is a photo from my first year on staff and although it does not contain much action, it is the first dominant photo that I had taken that was put into the main dominant package. I am proud of how it looks on the spread and it shows me how much I have grown as a photographer.
On top of the Red Effect parking garage, senior John Dannug poses for the trends spread.
This is one of the trends photos from this year's book. I am particularly proud of this photo because the sunset in the background is intriguing to eye and the standout of the photo is John's shoe, which is what we wanted to showcase since we were covering their style.
At the annual Spooktacular orchestra event, sophomore Zoltan Kovacs stands in costume.
This photo was taken at an orchestra event where they put on skits while they play. I took this photo and I am particulary proud of the emotion that has been captured in it. You can see how invested the student was in his performance by the way he throws his arms up. This is one of the photos I am most proud of from last year.
Opening Copy
2019-2020
This is the opening copy for my senior book. Our verbal theme, 'What Is & What Could Be', represents everything that has happened at our school that has shaped who we are and how that is going to influence what we could be in the future. My co-Editor-in-Chief and I wrote this copy thinking about how people would feel when they first open the book and this is the first thing they see. I am extremely proud of the opening copy because it encompasses everything that our theme is supposed to mean.
