Team Bonding
As the Editor-in-Chief, one of the most important things to me is that our staff is bonding and having fun with each other. The photo on the left is my favorite team activity we have done this year, which was going to Yates Cider Mill and getting donuts and taking pictures together. It was something that the whole staff remembers and hopefully remembers for a long time. As a staff we also try to get as many people as we can go to the MIPA summer camp at Michigan State. The four-day camp helps our staff grow closer and become better journalists together.
Leadership
At the start of class every day, I always start the class off by announcing any important reminders, answering any questions, and just saying hello to the staff. In these photos, we were going over a particular mod that a group had made that was unique and I wanted to show the class the mod so they could hopefully be inspired to make other mods like this. Communication is a big part of a successful team and starting the class off like this helps provide the staff with an open flow of communication and collaboration.
